 All in all it was a good day...yes there were some tears from me!  Both boys were excited to start the school year.  Noah's teacher is Mrs. Seeley and JJ has Mrs. Williamson.  We will get to meet both teachers at Open House on the 19th.  We were a little sad that JJ's 2 friends James and Willie were not in his class but James' cousin is so at least he knew someone!

Doctors, doctors and ugh....

This week was crazy busy with Doctor's appointments, mostly for Ryder.

Monday was Ryder's 1 year check up and Noah's 7 year check up.
At his seven year check up (on 04/22/13) Noah's stats were as followed: BP: 96/68
Height: 3' 10.61
Weight: 45 lb 9.6 oz

So although he's a bit on the small side he is healthy.  Everyone at school loves him and talk about how well behaved he is and how he is polite and courteous.  He loves his video games.  He is starting to read more and ore and really likes it!

Ryder at 1 year:

*still in size 4 diapers
*still in mostly 12 month clothes with a few 18 month
*started cruising and will occasionally stand on his own
*pulling himself up to standing on everything
*is taking about  24 ounces of Elecare Jr formula from a bottle
*eats a variety of fruits and veggies, puffs, Cheerios, pasta, graham crackers, Ritz crackers
*laughs and smiles a lot when he is feeling good

*sleeps 1 5-6 hour stretch each night, still waking up every 2 hours some nights

*still very ticklish!
* 5 teeth!
*weight 19 lb 10.5 oz
*still height 30 inches
*head 18.3 inches

So we have decided the best coarse of action at this point is to see someone at Children's Hospital Boston.  His PCP put in a referral to get the ball rolling.

Tuesday Ryder had an appointment with Allergy for a second opinion.  The doctor and I went over his history and he feels that if it is a food allergy it is a non IG-e mediated reaction (more on that later).  The doctor did order some blood work to rule out the possibility of an auto immune deficiency, and agreed CH-B was the place to go.  After the appointment we went to the lab where they tried 3 separate time to draw blood with no success.  We had to try a different lab Wednesday Morning.

ETA: those tests came back normal

Wednesday Ryder had an appointment with ENT to discuss his recurrent ear infections especially since the last on resulted in a ruptured ear drum.  So long story short Ryder will be getting tubes:(  We came to this decision for multiple reasons.  When Ryder gets an ear infection he doesn't have the usual symptoms, anti biotic wreck havoc on his already  sick digestive tract and if he does get an infect with tubes we can use antibiotic drops directly into the ear instead of oral or IM anti biotic.

WW- Noah is 7!!!!

Seven years ago we were blessed with the most caring, sensitive and smart little boy I know!  We celebrated his birthday with family over the weekend.  He doesn't have his 7 year check up until April so these pictures are all you get for now:)

First Grade!

OMG Noah is a first grader?!?!?!  How the heck did that happen?  School started last Wednesday, August 29th.  Tuesday afternoon we got to go to the school and meet his teacher Mrs. K.  She seem very nice.  I think I was more nervous than he was.  Last year he had our baby sitters daughter in his class and on the bus with him.  This year she is in a different school so that means he was taking the bus by himself.  He actually did really well!  I think he likes school or at least I hope he does:)  And yes I did cry when I dropped him off:)

2 Months already!!

*taking anywhere from 3.5 – 4 ounces per feeding
*eating anywhere from 3-4 hours
*still sleeps 4.5 – 5 hours at night
*just started size 2 diapers
*had to put all the NB and 0-3 clothes away:(  Now in size 3-6 months
*we had our first laugh on June 8th, he smiles all the time now....except for Daddy it seems

Stats as of 06/14

weight:  11 pounds 13 ounces

lenght: 23.25 inches

head: 39.9 cm

Comparing their weight and lengths at 2 months was very interesting.....Noah is the smallest which we knew but he had the biggest head!  JJ and Ryder were the same length but Ryder is a whole pound heavier...looks like Ryder may be the biggest:)

Four months....Yesterday

Oh So Serious!

Not much to report really. The rain has finally stopped and we came through it relatively unscathed. Jay's seat in his car is a little wet:(. Noah has his 4 month well baby check up on Friday complete with his next round of shots:( Auntie Kendra might come up for a visit this weekend. A belated congratulations to my cousin Heather and her husband John on the birth of their son Nicholas. Although he was born a few weeks ago (a month early) I just found out last night. I understand both are doing well:) So here's Noah's stats:

*13 pounds 3 ounces
*size 1/2 diapers (we will be switching to size 2 but merely 'cause they are easier to find)
*eating 5-7 ounces every 3-4 hours
*3/6 month clothes (3 month fits good, 6 month size is too big)
*slept in the crib 2 nights this weekend
*rolling over (front to back) on occasion
*still drooling a lot
*still gnawing on his hands
*has an iron grip (usually on my hair)
*starting to chew on some toys
*learning to sit (with assistance of coarse)
*I think he is starting to appreciate the bed time routine...now if he would just stay asleep for the night

Enough already turn out the light Im trying to sleep here!
